The 3 SQF-2 is a helical rotor style pump not capable of high flow as can be seen on the left side of the chart with a maximum of 2.3 gallons per minute, but can pump from depths as great as 360 feet to the water using only 340 watts of power as seen along the bottom of the chart. This is a great pump for a low volume stock well or a home or cabin deep well that pumps in to some type of storage tank all day and then feeds the dwelling.
Reading the flow charts: Note the gallons per minute on the left side of the chart, find your water depth on the top of the curves. Follow the curve down to where it intersects with your desired amount of flow line coming from the left. Where the flow curve intersects with the volume line from the left come straight down to the required amount of watts to make the pump preform that volume. The watts are along the bottom of the chart. Don't follow the curve in the line coming down, you must come straight down from where the lines of flow and depth intersect. You will always want to round up to the next higher wattage system when the numbers for watts required don't match our systems.
example: to pump 1.60 gpm at 180 ft. of lift requires 160 watts of power. If you refer to our pricing chart for 160 watts of power you will find our smallest deep well or high flow system requires 170 watts of power. It is always better to have more power than the charts show for better system performance.
